I don't believe Coach Riley will use the pure West Coast offense. He has commented and the virtue of multiple set pass- run options. The offense will be similar to what we have seen the last three years.

Riley has said quite often he will adapt what his system with what the players can do. I know he recruited Stanton but he was a cali kid in pac 12 country.

Tommy is this best QB we have regardless of the system. Coach Riley will coach him up.

1 1/2 years starting is a lot of experience. If the new coach plays to this teams strength it will be hard not to. If he's looking for a pocket passer he may be out. Remember when he sits in the pocket he can't remember which way his receivers are going.

No, because Riley will install the offense he used at Oregon State which will primarily be a West Coast System. It will be Stanton at QB next year. You heard it first right here.

Average thrower at best. Johnny Stanton will be the guy.

Stanton has the best arm of the lot. It was shown this year that the difference between 9-4 and 12-1 or 13-0 was the fact that we couldn't consistently pass when it really counted. If we have a quality QB that can make those throws we might have been in the Playoff this year and Riley knows it.

Stanton was recruited by Riley, plus I believe he can complete check down passes to the running back, a problem we've had the last 2 years.

Great option QB, but those days are over. Too many bad throws (lucky for the USC drops) ; likely it's Stanton.

Mike Riley is a huge Stanton fan. And let's face it . Every time Armstrong drops back to pass , we have to hold our breath and hope he throws it to the right team.

Unless he can consistently make the throws in the short and medium range, he will sit. He needs to be consistent. Throwing a 65 yard strike is nice, but it also helps to make the throws to just move the chains.

I hope he isn't because if he is the best we have for 2015, then you can expect 3-4 losses next year as well. Sub par throwing, can't read routes and not a pocket passer.

The guy is wildly inconsistent. Very indecisive. Locks in on one receiver. We need a better passer. My money is on Stanton, but I think Darlington is a possibility along with Bush. I also wonder if a junior college kid is a possibility.

I think the kids can find the resolve within themselves to find a way to win. They are in a place where they play this game for team and not needing to prove anything to coaches who are gone after Saturday. That alone should provide incentive to play to win with whatever it takes.

Only because Beck is calling the plays. I do believe overall, the players are going to be both super charged and at the same time play more relaxed without the mentally deranged Pelini blaming everyone but himself. Hint for Beck: Run on first down until they can stop us. Only then do we mix it up. But always run on first down.

Tougher because the thoughtless press has created turmoil. Something nobody wants to get involved in. The press has also succeeded in giving UN a black eye as they prostituted themselves to release a worthless piece of garbage story that was suppose to be confidential regardless of what was said. I say find the perps. if it was a player expose him. If it was a bug, prosecute.

It was an intentional act by Bo... and probably effective. An act to undermine the new coach, to cause uncertainty among players and 2015 recruits, and to indirectly give a "black eye" to NU.

Why can't the press just leave these secret recordings alone. Only cowards do don't admit they recorded something. It was a private meeting and should have stayed that way. The press are as worthless as politicians if we flushed them down the toilet nobody would miss either one of them. Let it die and move on end of story. Now this is going on just get behind Coach Riley and forget about the decision is made. You might not like Bo but he did settle things down after the last time. Did you forget that former NFL coach that lead us to 2 seasons with no bowls and a losing record twice.

Lets not judge. Evidence produced does paint Pellini as being rough and disrespectful. Face it the NCAA football family now knows more and he placed himself in a precarious situation within his career. As Huskers we are taught to forget the past, handle the present and prepare for the future. Riley is preparing for the future and we as fans need to support our kids in the present against USC. Challenge goes out to the entire Husker Nation, lets make the Holiday Bowl bleed RED in show of support for our kids.
