For me, it's the directing & suspense. Brad Douriff as Chucky doesn't hurt either. 2 is still the best of the franchise though.

ReplyThe original knows that it's an over-the-top horror comedy, so you are free to just have fun with it. The Remake tries to take itself seriously, so all the dumb stuff just annoys you.
