Kids coming out of High School know IF they are good enough to play in the NBA they only need to stay 1 year. Unlike Duke Kentucky most colleges can't reload every year so leadership is important.

Echo the other comment on recruiting. If he's even a GOOD recruiter (I'm sure he will be) vs. a GREAT recruiter and has the X's and O's to develop a good system....the rest will fall in line.

I want to see if he can recruit. After watching the NCAA tournament it is obvious every one of those teams, even the 12 seeds, played at a level the huskers could never match. Not by a long shot.

His athleticism, good coaching, more offensive weapons at his disposal, improved offensive line, and improved defense and starting positions from improved special teams equals "better."

If you look at A.M. stats compared to Clemson's Lawrence... His total yards are only 211 off and 5 TD's short.

Perhaps, but absolutely is way too definitive. Look at what happened to Mackenzie Milton. Football is a Spartan sport and Adrian will take more hits than your prototypical pocket passer.

I would hope that he meets those lofty expectations. However, after one season, its too soon to tell - the poll should have asked: Absolutely or Too early to tell (Not No)

I know him the best, and he left an impressive record on and off the field over a long period which included a variety adversities. Perhaps at a later date I would answer "Scott Frost."

I confess I wasn't thrilled in the first few years after he took over from the Bobfather, but he continued to improve and demonstrated that he could both build character and win the big game.

Why isn't Riley a stand alone option.... That is hard to say with a straight face. Also, Osborne over Devaney because I didn't exist when Devaney coached.

Devany got it started but Tom persevered and keep it going for 25 years. Built it and maintained it in a changing game environment and style.

There would not be a coach Osborne at Nebraska if not for Bob Devaney. He had the foresight to take over as Athletic Director and make sure Tom Osborne had a chance to grow into the coach he became.
