Too much local history is just bulldozed and forgotten. Historic sites need more protection!

Things get torn down (some in the middle of the night) for more lousy tourist attractions or for more coffee shops or fast food places.

Not even remotely. Bulldozed the Old Mill to build a shopping center. The Nels and Lillian Anderson house/homestead. Etc.
