Its time to take it down unless it can be restored.

Unless there is some sort of public health hazard, government has no business in destroying private property. Being an 'eye sore' doesn't cut it.

The owners promised to destroy it. Time for the wrecking ball.

We are in a drought. The water needs to be conserved. Not used for fun.

Water…..that’s the reason. Ridiculous to have a facility like this when everyone knows the issue with water. Surfers can drive to the coast. Simple as that

Danielle Bladez We live in a desert and a water park affects water use and the desert climate. People need to remember this is not a tropical area so adding a lot of vegetation and water parks, create issues. We will always have drought issues, please think about the future of where we live!

We don’t need another luxury development with water features in the desert in the midst of an environmental crisis and drought. Residents risk further displacement with the increase in luxury development and not enough affordable housing.

We live in the desert. Regardless of the developers’ claims, we recognize that water is scarce and building a surf park in this location made no sense. A pat on the back to the council.

We are in a drought. Rancho Mirage's Mayor already gave the ok on the proposed master-planned developpment lagoon. I think it is terrible. Where is this water coming from?

We need a younger generation in the valley and this would have brought in more income for La Quinta, but of course there are those that don't want more traffic and the noise that it may occur. I am 64 and I love having fun things going on here and I do not mind the noise of fun!

Not many can afford $500.00 a wave in a private wave park we can't go to.
