Definitely a step in the right direction, but the offensive line still isn't able to clear the lanes in the middle and the kicking game is a unmitigated disaster. What wrong with Pickering, anyway?

Underperforming. We suck. Should have had a top 10 offense and top 45 defense. Adrian Martinez is a psychological shell of what he was as a frosh. Do we have a deep threat ? Tight ends ? P

Offense is still a little disjointed. Martinez will get there. I thought Vedral was very fluid though!

I wasn't quite as optimistic as some during the preseason; I knew there was still a lot of work to do. One of my big concerns was with the inside running game. It's not there yet.

With the exception of that drive all other scores were on explosive plays. Also Martinez was under pressure most of tje night

Replyfor the first time in a LONG TIME, it felt like an old Husker game where nearly everything went right. We were so far ahead we got to let a lot of 2nd and 3rd stringers get experience.
ReplyThey played aggressive football for 4 quarters. Their win is tempered a bit by the inferior opponent.

ReplyThey took a stride in the right direction, but still need to grow in becoming more consistent in the offense. The offense was too much feast or famine. The defense definitely improved from last week.
