Except for battling some rubber suit (or even paper Mache; I'm looking at you, THE LOVES OF HERCULES) lizards, Herc rarely got involved in genuinely supernatural shenanigan's. Which is what makes MOON MEN such a treat -- even if the pivotal fight takes place for like 2 minutes at the very end.

This was a tough one, but this Machiste-turned-Herc is just too ridiculous. Heck, it's almost as funny WITHOUT the riffing. It also includes some of my favorite simple riffs that still make me snort. Plus, Jany Clair? I'd lie at her feet...

We have not-Sinbad. Let's add not-Hercules! (He's actually Maciste, a little-known Italian folk hero who's been in films since 1910.) And, admit it, you love to see an old guy die to a spike trap!

This is where Deep Hurting came from. Sandstorm, "Pizza Pizza", Steve Reeves. This delivers the cheese, endless shots of people lost, and the Comedy Central feel. Vintage Joel and an experiment that never gets old.

I like "Warrior of the Lost World" MUCH more than the Herc movies/episodes however, "Warrior" has been shown twice (2017 & 2018) in the last 5 marathons. So I figured a change of pace is in order. Granted, I doubt Herc will beat the Paper Chase Guy but we'll see.

I get the allure of Megaweapon, Donald Pleasence & the world's awkwardest kiss. But we LITERALLY get GOBBLING sounds when we first see Queen Samara. Can't get more Turkey Day than that! And I'll be so sleepy I can hardly keep awake after gorging on the tasty foods! Unctuous Alan Steel for the win!
