Access to the arts is nothing new. Every major community has a vibrant, inclusive performing arts center. It's the one place that can bring us together to experience our humanity through theater, music, dance and much more. Is the time right for Bend? Attend a town hall to find out.

As long as we pay for it out of the Visit Bend room tax haul, I am all in.

Your question is misleading. We don't have a center for the arts, so asking about "another" one is curious. We need such a facility to serve as a year-round venue for large audiences and the acts that will bring them; we need the rehearsal, teaching and storage facilities being proposed.

Thank you, Jon. :) I also contacted them and it's been corrected.

Not very many people go to local art events at the current performing art centers that we currently have unless their child is in something or maybe some friends. We could use that money for other important things like mental health facilities for our homeless population.

This center would not be funded with public funds. So there would be no dipping into what we all know we need for mental health support in our region.

Exec branch has the responsibility to manage the economy with other countries, congress can’t even produce an annual budget - look at this democrat shutdown, they want to spend another 1.5T on healthcare subsidies- sorry, we are in the hole $35T, wake up America.

Trump’s tariffs violate the constitution. Congress holds the nations purse strings. I can’t believe we hardly heard a peep from members of Congress on his actions. Spineless

Absolutely not. The Constitution gives that authority to Congress, NOT the executive branch of the government. Trump’s actions are absolutely illegal and unconstitutional. But he doesn’t care, and has been giving Congress and the American People the finger for the past 10 months.

Memo to trump...there is a document in this country called the Constitution. Read it, learn it, live it.
