I would want to be notified if someone turned up to have the virus and I was there at the time they were.

Duh. Whoever says it's not beneficial is probably more concerned with their own privacy than the common good. It's a fine line I get it. #weareallinthistogether

In an unprecedented and dangerous time for the health of our citizens and our economy we need to do everything we can to keep safe.

Until this virus is under control with vaccine, it is probably a good idea in order to be able to notify customers in case another customer becomes infected. it's called community tracing and it helps

This is unnecessary and intrusive. When does the control end?

Exactly! This awful man should never be allowed to own animals for the rest of his life! Once an abuser, always an abuser. No matter that he is a vet. It doesn't excuse this abusive behavior, especially over tiny dogs!

I don't think he should get his dogs back until a psych eval is done and he's deemed ok to own an animal. I also think that your reporter's continued hounding of him for an interview after he clearly declined was appropriate or professional.
