Human interactions with cougars are very rare, and trapping-relocation rarely goes well.

Maybe we should quit taking away such a large portion of their habitats by building neighborhoods within the forest.

They help keep stray animals under control. Including the ones that should be on a leash.

If we are going to live here, in their home, we need to learn to live WITH them, in harmony, not just kill them for hunting,.I'm sorry those people lost their animals, circle of life~ not the suburbs

THERE IS NO NEED TO KILL DEFENSELESS ANIMALS, THAT IS JUST WRONG!! RELOCATE THEM!!
ReplyYes, sadly.
ReplyYes, trap and move them. I agree that we have encroached on their territory, but it doesn't change the fact that they are predators and peoples' animals and livestock are at risk.
ReplyI am conflicted, we humans have taken their natural paths away and then we are shocked and want the animals to pay for our way of life. The cougars are an issue but the biggest issue is US.
ReplyTrap and move them. It is not the animals' fault people have infringed on their habitats.
ReplyWe found our govt with the expectation that they will protect and serve us. They need to follow through on this obligation.
