Never needed to. Have seen many passengers with their dogs and haven't seen a issue yet. I don't see what the problem is as long as the animals behave and the owners pay for a ticket to transport the animal.

Animale except for trained and verified service dogs have no place on an airplane except as cargo.

It wasn't necessary to do but, he kept HOUNDING-HOUNDING me to go parachuting. And, I kept telling him NO-NO not a good idea, no chance whatsoever!! Until I found Swayze' Point Break chewed to pieces in the kitchen. I then knew I had to relinquish. We chartered-we jumped. ;-)
ReplyNot in a long time, but I always paid for the privilege. I didn't try to use a fake service dog harness or claim it was a comfort animal.
ReplyHelps calm me to have them with me
ReplyI have flown with my bird dog to hunt on a few occasions. Always in a kennel checked in as cargo. Never had any issues and the dog was not bothered by it. The airlines always took good care of her!
ReplyI was transporting my mini poodle from a puppy mill rescue in Colorado Springs to Bend.
ReplyFlew with a cat in a carrier once. It was a hassle for me and very traumatic for the cat, he was never the same. I will never subject a pet to that again.
