Do you think human organic composting, as a burial alternative, should be legal in Oregon?

Dead people in Oregon already decompose naturally. This is frivilous beyond belief.
Reply ReplyDo you really want the nutrients from dead human beings in side of your body? I certainly do not. This is the stupidest idea I have ever heard of!! It is hard to believe that this subject is even being talked about in the state capitol. What has become of this state and country. Follow the money.
Reply ReplySorry to say but you already do consume nutrients from humans. Where do you think all the human body's have gone? Into the ground. Then they decompose. Then it rains and snow's. The water carries whatever nutrients was in the body through the ground into the wells and then you drink it.
sheer stupidity! creates health problems, death unknowns( more criminal activity), property values, etc.
Reply ReplyI don't think I want to eat food that was fertilized with human remains. That is what this sounds like to me. Yuk!!

Being buried is the same for the most part but very very expensive. Being cremated is much more inexpensive. It really depends if organic composting would be affordable.
ReplyThere not talking about compost for food. There talking about something like plantings a tree and putting the body in with the roots. That way your body is composted by the tree and for the tree.
ReplyDust to dust, etc.
