Another tough one where I’m a little bit on the fence. I do tend toward a certain genre and will look for favorite authors, but not all are consistently good.

I have a number of "favorite" authors that I follow. I often use them as "starting points." (ie- if you like Dorothy Gillman, you will probably like Janet Evonivitch) I now follow ~100 or so.

Shouldn't matter who wrote it. I have liked one of an author's books but the other ones usually disappoint
ReplyAlways finding new authors.
ReplyAuthors can write about many things, some are not really interesting to me.

ReplyI prefer a subject over author because a few authors I know don't write the same subject their whole career.
ReplyI've discovered many good authors reading an unfamiliar one.
ReplyI've enjoyed many books by unfamiliar authors. OTOH, there are many well known authors whose books I wouldn't touch.
