I wanted to be a school teacher so badly when I was young. I married early in age, had 4 kids, so I never got the chance to go to school for this. too late now. I'm 58 yrs old.

I wanted a career in teaching back in the 80s but for "life" reasons, it turned into accounting and seeing now what the teaching profession has turned into, not only the total lack of respect they receive but now the violence they fear may happen to them. I have NO regrets with my decision.

For sure! Anybody going into teaching now has a lot of stress ahead of them. Wish it was like the old days when kids didnt bring guns to school, and they respected their school and teachers.

I had no idea when I moved from a great metropolitan city to a "one horse town without a horse" to take care of my ailing parents that I would have to overcome being an "outsider"; the bias of ageism; and way over qualified for any employment opportunities. Payscale sucks.

I wanted to teach, but after an argument with my mother, joined the Navy. My job was highly classified and had no correleated occupation on the outside. When I got out I ended up working in fast food restaurants and call centers.

I was not able to go to college. Without an education, I was limited to public service jobs. I wanted to be a computer programmer, but could not .

Teaching changed a lot over the course of my career, and I wish it had stayed like it was in the old days when we had more freedom to share joy with the kids, but it was a rewarding if stressful job.

I had no idea I would end up in the job I ultimately retired from, but I'm glad I did. It was very rewarding and enabled me to retire at age 51.

There are too many great choices to settle on just one. Among my faves, "A Child's Christmas in Wales," "A Christmas Story," and "Arthur Christmas" is pretty cute.

Maybe just a dozen or so if you add them all up and include snow boots and water shoes along with the rest.
