Romance movies of any sort are just too predictable. Troubled gorgeous woman with slight flaws.... Gorgeous guy with communication issues... 10 minutes before the end, it works out.

I liked Solo about a free-lance mountain climber. And the one about a tight rope wire walker across the twin towers. Various sailing adventures. They take me places I'd never go.

Actually, it would be a "B" movie, old school 30's-40's nor, or foreign film with subtitles.

Neither. Prefer a good PBS mystery or documentary.

Definitely not into the blood & guts macho bs, but much of what passes for comedy these days is unfortunately crude and vapid. But there are bright spots.

Agreed. I prefer Oregon Public Broadcasting or History channel.

I would rather come out of a movie feeling happy than be too scared to walk to the car. And likely have nightmares.

My two favorite movies of all time are A Few Good Men and Sweet Home Alabama. However, I enjoy romantic comedies as they reduce stress.
