Cats make the world go round, and they've been our constant companions for the last 40 years.

I have a special needs Chihuahua and his partner is crime a Chihuahua pug mix. I don't have children...the pups give me a purpose. My dogs are family I'd do anything for them.

I have a pig, a bird and a ferret. I love them but don't know about them being 'family'. Would I give them a kidney? No. Would I give my daughter a kidney? In a New York second!

We usually only have a couple of cats and maybe a dog. Somehow er ended up with 5 cats, two small dogs, and a 4' long Cal King snake. One cat was chosen. Two cats were rescued. Two cats are from a litter of a rescue we rehomed. One dog was bought and the other a rescue. The snake was found.

We have four neutered male cats, two of whom are actual brothers rather than just brothers in spirit.

The last 4 lb. Maltese dog we had was killed by a German Shepard 5 years ago. We are both very senior citizens; and a new dog would probably outlive both of us.
