The right is so ignorant they think Venezuela is a socialist country. They never look at the success of the Nordic countries. Low IQ voters may once again give us trash like Trump, hope not.

Socialist Nordic countries is a MYTH! Even the Prime Minister of Denmark was miffed at the notion. He recently made it very clear in a speech that they are not socialists. Do the research.

I like tim ryan; beto orourke; and Biden, the latter only because he has the best chance of beatingTrump. Basically, anyone who can beat T is who I suppport. Not the year of the woman, unfortunately.

Some good and some unknown, but anyone that can wipe the smirk off Chump and his peons faces is fine with me-can't be any worse than what we have put up with to date.

There's way too many in the preliminary debates. I think it's going to confuse voters in the early stages, and divide the party as a whole.

It is my greatest hope that someone with some common scenes runs against Trump. I would like to see someone organize the public to force Congress to change it's ways. such as setting term limits.

Why do you fools think Venezuela is socialist? Because Trump told you so? Look to the Nordic countries, or do some research on the history of America, and socialism. Think for yourselves for a change

Dave Voiles

Gabe you are right. Brain washed Bernie followers think the Nordic countries are socialist. They are not. Social democracy is totally different from democratic socialism, i.e. Bernie socialism.

Increased traffic in Bend has brought more traffic woes. I have personally seen drivers increase speed or run red lights to get through intersections at the last minute. These cameras are needed safety features

They don’t take into account circumstances that happen all the time. This is why cops don’t always give you a ticket when they see you do it. I do not believe taking the human element out of law enforcement is effective. I do not believe these cameras should be legal.

More Government control. Give us statistics where it saved lives. Charging it's already extremely highly taxed citizens is ridiculous. It issues the owner of the car the citation who may not even be driving. Insurance goes up or is canceled causing low income drivers to drive without insurance.

At reed mkt and 3rd its already common to take 3 cycles of light changes to make it through. This will make it so people feel have to go slower contributing to the delay that already exists because of poorly planned infrastructure

All it is going to do overall, is produce more revenue and cause insurance rates of individuals to go up. It takes the real time needed judgment out of the equation by an officer. Clearly, infractions happen over small nuances or when in the dilemma zone. Put a big sign up would have the same effect

These aren't about safety. They are about revenue. And the fact that these 'tickets' are signed off by an 'officer' in another state and don't go on your driving record are proof.

Relying on technology to do the job of officers is not efficient reason for 2.3 million dollar project ,especially. When we just put more officers on the ground the last year. What was the need for more officers?.

Because it boost the pockets of the city, and takes from the people. It will not reduce car accidents that much, it's only for revenue for the politicians. And it's been proven that they don't work that great. This is just another Ponzi scheme to collect money from the public to line there pockets.

I never heard of this guy before he was murdered, but it looks like he had a track record of saying awful things, and fomented the conditions in society that led to his demise. That's very tragic, but there are other people more deserving of a day.

Though this is a tragic incident and a terrible time of violence in our country, Mr. Kirk was not an elected official. We should honor his family and respect them in many ways and I certainly have sympathy for his family. But this does not warrant aday in Oregon devoted to his name or his politics.

A highly partisan figure in American politics should never be given a day of observance for any reason. It should be acknowledge that violence is not acceptable in any form for any reason, but it should not be honored and given Publicity because of it.

This guy was homophobic, racist, and anti women’s rights. While I think his murder is wrong, he is not a hero. He encouraged hatred towards people he didn’t agree with their lifestyles in his “teachings”. I don’t think Jesus would support him…he preached love for everyone!
