With covid and the governor lowering standards for graduation, a standardized test is necessary . We need better educated students and graduates.

I don't know if standardized tests are hurting a certain group of students, but I do know that socially promoting certain students who fail to learn basic life requirements, like balancing checkbooks, reading, etc., is doing them a big disservice. Bringing back civics, PE, tool shop is a good idea.

I go back & forth on this subject. With the standard set so low for students due to the pandemic. It seems scary to have children behind in the basics. I’m from Ventura, Ca since the early 90’s. Things in Oregon back then seemed way behind in the school system.

Absolutley especially important since lockdowns...our children's education has suffered, and we need to get back reading, writing, arithmetic and foster critical thinking once again.

Safe parking programs have a proven track record of successfully taking people from being homeless into having a place of their own. Safe parking programs cut down on costs to cities for ambulance calls, police calls, visits to emergency rooms and mental health crises that costs taxpayers money.

Perhaps? Hiding the un-housed in various random locations doesn't solve much. This is just another band-aid solution! Seems just the latest adaptation of "kicking the can down the road"...?

People should not have to put up with annoying intrusive lights that inconsiderate neighbors install
