I don't think using a public restroom is a big issue as long as they keep it clean and sanitized.

I avoid them when I can, but when you gotta go, you gotta go, and just be careful to wash hands and not touch face.

Well, yes and no. There are just times that you have to go to the bathroom. You have to go somewhere. I bring sanitizer with me so I can wash. Also, it prevents nasty public excrements in the open.

Public restrooms are not always clean. I wouldn't be comfortable using one during this time.
