I think most hotels are taking proper precautions during the covid-19 pandemic. I think with safety precautions I would be comfortable staying.

Depends on the hotel and its capacity and hygiene. I had to travel to West Point, NY for a funeral, and stayed at the Thayer Hotel. We were practically the only people there. Felt very safe.
