Yes, but they have been talking about it since the same year I moved to this valley 50 years ago. If they would get with it and do whatever they need to do it wouldn't keep getting more expensive. The longer we wait the better chance of it making the valley un-livable.
As someone whose been traversing Palm since I was a kid, this wall does assist the primary problem which is a sand "white out" that very spot. But more needs to be done, planting of much more foliage and trees with a watering system would help. I am disappointed in this coverage, the wall is good!
The fact that
90% of the people who live in desert hot springs work in Palm Springs are caught up in this situation bus route and school kid.elderly trying to get to dr appt this wall is a joke whoever approved this should be fired and the taxpayers money return plant some Boulder rock
Money wasted; no change in road closures. The very next day after the wall was built, was a sandstorm & Gene Autry Rd was closed. The problem is further down the road…there’s no visibility, plus sand builds up causing the Gene Autry Rd closure, regardless of the new wall being built!

Rotating minimizes the possibility of corruption which our city has experienced, its ashame that mayor walked away with nothing more than probation. lets not let it happen again.
I have always thought voting a mayor is better than the rotation of a mayor.
With the rotation, the mayor becomes only a spokesperson for the council
The voters should elect based on the agenda of the mayor
And it allows for consistency with staff.
