Indiana nearly lost to IU & WKU and the W over Idaho wasn't that impressive. They allowed IU RB Chase Brown 199 yds and WKU RB Kye Robichaux 135 yds. Grant, Ervin, Johnson & Yant will have a big day and help keep the defense off the field.

Motivation by Mickey, simpler defense and a week of focus on individual technique will get the Huskers on track...IF there is any on-field leadership from the players.

With the shock of losing a head coach and DC behind them, they two weeks of refocus and reset will benefit this talented team and the Huskers will have new inspiration to win this next contest.

I believe in MJ enough that I do believe he will somehow have found a way to get this team ready to perform up to their capabilities. After the NW gm, SF said the guys needed something to believe in. They have to start with themselves. MJ will have em' believing!

Unfortunately, the skers may not win again this year. They not be lookin too good. No offense but, enough of the dumb polls till they get better.

As of right now, the defense cannot stop anybody, the offense is absolutely anemic, team moral is in the toilet, we are on the road against an improved IU team. Outside of all that, I think we have a great shot.

The D-line for the Huskers will not be good enough to stop Indiana. The O-line will allow too many sacks.

I have seen no evidence, given the lack of coaching so far, that this team can rise to the challenge.

I think the team is lost even though MJ is the coach. It will be a reasonable effort, but ultimately, it will be a loss.

“Recruiting beats coaching”… true for skill positions, but not true for OL, DL, and LB positions. Very poor player development at NU and too late now that the season in underway. Wonder what Benhart would be like had he chose Iowa or Wisconsin.

Line play has been terrible. Need to prove it now or I won't believe.

Our team has not tackled in practices for four years. No toughness. A great touch football team.

This team has been neglected for several years. Frost, it seems, spent more time on personal problems but was happy to take the salary. My gut feeling is he was trying to get fired BEFORE Oct 1st and he did everything he could to do that, including the onside kick.

No reason to start winning now. MJ seems like a great coach but you have a front line that does not want to protect the QB. They look like the basketball team with no will nor want. As Tom Kropp said when he chose Kearney St BB over UNL “they can make a good player bad”

I don't like it, but as long as we're going to play around with nonsense alternate uniforms, the boys might as well learn wi win in them.

Because we as fans should let the team wear whatever makes them excited and quit bringing up times 30 plus years ago like the uniforms had anything to do with how the games turned out.

The Redcoats were intimidating as is and didn't change to all Red on skirmish day.

Traditional is much more intimidating. One color uniforms make players look smaller (except for all white.)

Bad choice and ugly. For those old enough to remember, we got Irvin Fryar out of New Jersey because he looked better in our uniforms than the ugly Penn State uniforms. Why change for the sake of change when you have the better all ready in place. Sounds like the management of Cracker Barrel.

They have the talent, they need to take the step of winning the games they should win in the manner they should win them. Don’t play down to the level of the opponent.

It better be...defense front should be fixed and Akron Defense should allow for deeper passes. At HOME at NIGHT!!! #GBR

I do not believe some of the glaring problems with the run defense have not been fixed, and Akron will exploit them.

The D-line against Cincy wasn't overly impressive, our run game was relatively unproductive, and we had some lucky breaks (even if good play contributed). The next two weeks will be important for closing gaps; I don't think we'll wallop Akron quite by 30+ points. I'm guessing we end up 17
