Osborne rarely won the recruiting battle versus Switzer. No big deal-- player development is still key at NU. Riley's forte.

Osborne was 5-12 vs Switzer. It mattered a lot.

Got a lot of depth at key positions and many four star athletes.

We lost our 2 starting d tackles to NFL . Didn't get a single d tackle. What is wrong with these people?

There was a big hole left in the D line and nothing was done to shore it up.

Give him time to see if he can figure out a winning formula here. It's not like anyone else has been successful. Not much to lose. It's too bad there has been so little success. I think Husker fans would be overly supportive of the program especially with some improvement.

Let's face it. With a few rare exceptions, Husker basketball has never been better than mediocre at best. Let's give Fred plenty of runway to turn things around. We certainly don't have much to lose (pun not intended).

Do you think Trev Alberts was correct to push for the coaching staff changes before season end?

It was right to do sooner than later

Should have waited until season was over

The defense has made progress. The offense not so much. The real problem is Frost's dedication to Martinez. Adrian is a great guy, but his minuses exceed his pluses.

The production was there from those coaches. Better to make the decision then, so you can still have a positive impact with recruiting.

I imagine the transfer portal had a lot to do with the timing.

It had to be done and it clear that things are going to happen at NU.

The team was not going to become better with their existing staff. Make the cut and start improving.

If you are not going to make new hires before the end of the season anyway, what was the purpose in firing them now? It will be interesting to see how the offense performs, but I can't see this as beneficial.
