The fact that legislators would use this for political gain and schools would use this as a financial game (teaching to the tests so they get an A rating, which gives them more money, wash-rinse-repeat). is a no from me.
Didn't they learn something from the failure of the No Child Left Behind?
I personally don't care, but I understand why it is important to so many. I'm embarrassed how bad our 'top tier' athletes are doing. Is this the best we have? I've seen Disney on Ice, couple of those folks surely could have been available.
I think the rule changes are good to move the game along, however, they need to be evaluated at season end to see if they hinder or improve the game.
