Even a caveperson knows this to be true. All it takes is a hike along any of the city trails that are near the creeks. Pay special attention to underpasses. Where is Captain Obvious when you need him?

It's not just human waste, it's also corrosive metal, from batteries, tools, junk, and other forms of waste from plastics, etc..

Have you seen all the stuff being dumped into them. On cruises, I've noticed hugh swaths of seaweed and other materials. Plus do you really want to take a chance with predators in the water. You know they are pissed at how we have damaged their habitat
