This is nothing more than revenue enhancement for the state DOR...a US passport is more comprehensive and is all you need.

No, I have a passport. There is no need to pay extra for a Real ID if you have a passport.

Generally we prefer to come and go on our own schedule. But, oh yes, we have found guided experiences very valuable at times.

I can choose what to see and how much time to spend there. I can use audio-guides or read printed descriptions to get more information.
