Ban plastic bags and tax disposable diapers. They both cause problems in the land fills.

Plastic is everywhere. Good for Oregon. Let’s get rid of more plastics

There is so much damage done to ocean life and it's such a plague on our lands. Of course, it should be banned. Too much plastic!

Too much crap being tossed in the environment/Ocean causing way too many problems. Until people can be respectful of it then ban/charge. Might open their eyes

Plastics NEVER go away...they stay around forever. However, I HATE the thought of reusable bags. Can you IMAGINE the homes some of them come from? Viruses, bacteria, pets on the counter tops, ETC..

I support the plastic bag ban. The only way to get people to change behavior is to make people pay. Then they will think twice.

We need to quit using plastic items, especially plastic grocery bags. A small fee if you don't have your own bag is more than fair. It's time we started taking our own bags to the store anyway.

Bringing a reusable bag to the store is the most disgusting thing thought of. Can you imagine the filthy, infested homes these bags may come from? I'm an RN and I say GROSS.

this is not an environmental issue. this was put into action to make politicians feel better about them selfs. if we really want to do good for the environment we should get rid of plastic bottles

Plastic bags are the best way to shop and store food without fear of cross contamination. There are several alternatives to the current plastics that biodegrade rapidly. This should be researched.

I dont mind banning the plastic bags, how ever the taxing of paper bags is just stupid.

We already get hosed buying food, now they want to charge for a bag too!! Bring back paper bags, have no problem eliminating the plastic, just want my groceries in a bag when I leave the store!

Ban, yes. Charge, no. Charge only those using them.... Dont charge (or even offer a discount) for those that bring their own reusable bags!

Another attempt at “virtue signaling” by extremists to prove how righteous they are by fixing a problem that doesn't exist. Wake up!!! Oregonians are not causing the problem of polluting the oceans.

It's another "feel good" law that makes no sense. Just think about the amount of plastic in your shopping cart in just a months worth of grocery shopping alone. A few little shopping bags are nothing.

I found this offensive in San Francisco and even more so in Oregon. Why not make the plastic out of something that composts quickly. I do not need someone else trying to change my ways.

I'll pay more to go to the store to see the items I want. People who go to a retailer to shop, then buy online are stealing. I want these stores here. I'll buy online if I can't find it locally.

While selection can be limited, there are unadvertised perks to shopping local: you get to see the item before paying, you know who you're buying from, cash is accepted, and no waiting for shipping!

I hate sitting at a computer to shop. Then spending more money and time making sure the order arrives safely in my hands, rather than a thief's hands once it is delivered to my door step!

I contribute to charities in many ways, but never add my $ to the total on that BIG CHECK handed in the name of Panda Express, or whomever. I once donated $1 @ McDs, and the receipt listed newspaper!

Do a little research on these "worthy" causes. The small percentage of the collected money they goes to helping others is a joke.
