There should be no government mandated minimum. Market forces should set the salary. It was either Walter E. Williams or Thomas Sowell, both esteemed black college professors, who said it best: Colleges of Education (teacher schools) are the "academic slums" of the University. Paid accordingly.

40K?!?!? Its more than enough. GORSH, I'd say just giving them a cheese sandwich is enough. If you send your children into the care of another, you do not love your children.

Teachers have to go through so much just to get certifications and are now vilified more than ever. Its a thankless job that's never gotten enough credit (and pay) it deserves.

The teachers work way too hard and deal with way too much much for the pay they get. They teach the children of what is going to be our future leaders and I want them to have the best possible education.

If MIssouri had public school choice, with tax dollars following student, the best teachers would get paid more because more students would attend their schools. Teachers put up with too many behavior problems in schools and too many bad parents. NEA does not care about kid's education. FJB

I'm a teacher. And Missouri's retirement system takes 14.5% off the top without permission. We work hard but we are hardly left with a living wage.

In 1989 the min teacher's salary for the state of MO was 18,000. Using an inflation calculator it would be approximately 43,500 today. Many teachers work 2nd or Summer jobs to supplement their salaries.

Is this question really needing to be asked? Really ? This is what society is reduced to? Paying football and baseball and a host of other sports players HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS PER GAME OF 3 OR 4 HOURS duration all the while paying first responders and K thru 12 educators pennies... Really?

Biden is going to run on his record - not. Get ready for the biggest gaslighting campaign ever. Dems are already trying to blame GOP for border disaster that Biden created on purpose. So many criminal IAs are killing, raping Americans it is treasonous what Biden has done to U.S. FJB

The biggest issue will be Bidens cognitive ability. His mind isn't 100%. The U.S. president must be on top of his game at all times. We can't have a president whose bedtime is 3pm.

It will be big, but the economy, and numerous other issues need urgent action.

I already live near one of the cheapest places in Bend. There's a station in Madras that has much lower prices, but it's not worth the time and gas to drive there just to fill up.

Thats like going from grocery store to grocery store to use coupons. In the end you waste money.

Saving even five cents a gallon is only going to save you fifty cents on a ten gallon fill-up.
