Was betting on baseball games banned when Rose played? Even if he actually didn't bet against the Reds, he could have played worse in a few key games to pay off his debts. If it were banned, he shouldn't get the benefit of the doubt.

I don't think he should be just totally shunned, but he shouldn't be put in the hall of fame, either. A lot of people are delusioned that the hall is ALL NUMBERS. It's NOT and it never should be.
