I already do. Self serve is legal in rural areas. Madras has self serve. Most gas stations along I84 east of The Dalles has self serve. Apparently it's the city folk that aren't trusted to pump their own gas because folks who live in rural areas have been permitted to pump their own gas for years.

Absolutely. I already do in Jefferson and Crook Counties. Time is money and the quicker I can get back on the road, the better.

Where do I wash the gas off my hands? Oregon has always voted this down. 61% of Oregonians do not support this. Gas stations will make more money with one employee . Gas in Washington is a lot higher than ours and you pump your own. Why are the legislators deciding for us?

Why take away more jobs? If you don't have a few minutes to spare waiting for an attendant, maybe you should organize your time better.

Why would I get out to pump my own gas when the full service will be the same price? this is asinine, in all other states self-service is cheaper.

I really enjoy the ease of not having to pump the gas myself. Also I think it's good to provide jobs for people who can work at the gas stations.

I pumped my own gas for years, so I really appreciate being able to stay in my car especially during winter months. It provides jobs for those who might not otherwise get one. I don't mind having options, but don't think it's necessary for the decision to be made for me.

I have and I can but with a bunch of kids it's nice to be served. I appreciate my gas attendant.

I had electrical work done last year and put power in close to the driveway for my future hybrid or electric car.

I have PV on the roof producing most/all the household need s for electricity, hot water solar panels providing in floor heat. My 20 plus yr old 48 MPG (hwy) gas car is well past 200,000 miles, so this just seems the next step in what I can do towards helping preserve our mother planet

I didn't even think about that. The cost of the whole thing, price of car and cost of charging station install, is prohibitive, but you make an excellent point. California can't keep the lights on during heat waves as it is. If everyone had electric cars they wouldn't be able to charge them anyway!

Bonnie, you and me both! Someone mentioned the additional stress to an all ready over loaded power grid especially in the American Southwest! They have rolling blackouts during heatwave now. How would they charge their cars with no power?

They cost too much, replacement batteries batteries after three years will cost more than the value of the car, the raw material necessary to produce EV batteries wreak havoc on the environment, the electric grid can't handle cold weather now, so how can it support 100 million electric cars?

The elements to make the battery are toxic to our atmosphere and to the poor who mine it. When they no longer work, there is no safe way to dispose of them which means the toxicity will live on.

I have no use for an electric vehicle. I travel across the country for work and it would take me forever to get to my locations if I had to stop and charge up my truck.

They are too expensive for the car AND to have a charging hook up put into my house would cost approximately $10,000. Who can afford that? Certainly not a disabled old woman like me. I'll keep my 2 gas efficient Ford SUVs. My husband agrees with me.

Yes, that way I don't have to worry about someone spilling gas on my rig. But some credit card devices on the pumps can be difficult. So having someone to help at times in necessary.

We should not need to change the time anymore. The most important question is whether we should stay at standard time or daylight savings time. As Arizona and Hawaii have been very successful with staying at standard, so should the rest of the country.

I already do, when I'm in one of the 18 counties where it's allowed. Much faster, and I don't have to worry about someone dribbling gas or dinging my paint job. I should be able to do it in Bend.

How about letting us have a choice. Many stations don't have enough help, resulting in longer waits than necessary. Give us a choice!!

I think it should be an option. A lot if gas stations in redmond that are significantly cheaper have huge long lines because they don't have enough staff.

I'm 82n& those days are over for me!! Why not have 1 full service pump, for those that need ii!! It also take jobs away for some that need it!!

Most states have 2 different prices for self service or full service. And that cuts down on pumps for full service and or self service. And the question I have is how many jobs would be lost. If they went to full self service

I don’t want to get out of my car in the winter weather, when I’m dressed up & on my way to a special occasion or when I’m in another State and have no clue the rules!! I don’t want all those those employees to lose their jobs. We’re getting rid of so many workers for robots, it’s too much.

We should adopt a No self-serve policy nationwide. With approximately 135,000 convenient store gas stations in the US alone that could potentially create 270,000 jobs. This could put selective homeless people back to work.
