Should Democrats change the Senate filibuster rules?

The Dems are just acting like sore losers right now. You can bet that they would change their tune when they're back in the minority and couldn't use the filibuster themselves.

It would be pretty dumb for the dems to do that. It will be their only protection after mid terms. But I hope they do. I will laugh my, well you know the rest.

Those stupid mfers don't realize it'll end up being used against them when they lose power. Plus, just because you can't ram through everything you want, doesn't mean you get to change the rules whenever you want. Abolish the SCOTUS, end the filibuster...who's really threatening democracy here?

They changed them for judges. Giving Trump tons of judges confirmed. Did they learn nothing from that mistake? The rules exist fir a reason. Dems won't always be in power. Beware of unintended consequences.

It`s better than nothing I guess. I wanted universal background checks

Max DeYoung
Max DeYoung

Under current federal law, licensed dealers are required to run background checks on all gun purchases prior to making sales. ATF Form 4473 contains the purchaser's name, address, date of birth, government-issued photo ID, National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) background

EXCEPT at gun shows were you can buy a gun from any individual who is not a licensed dealer and submit to no background check at all. All you have to do is show a state ID (drivers license)

"You can also buy illegal drugs at a gun show, or anywhere else in the city, but that doesn't mean they were purchased legally or condoned by the gun show. Continue to believe anything you want to, regardless of how true or false it is."

Illegal guns will be sold in any city, it`s true. But it takes longer and you have to hunt up someone who is selling guns from the trunk of his car and this takes time

Jennifer M
Jennifer M

And you can't get one illegally in Miami, Fort Worth, Jacksonville or any republican controlled city? Max that was dumb even for you

Max DeYoung
Max DeYoung

The example you are citing has nothing to do with the gun show. That can happen anywhere in any city. All guns sold at or in a gun show, is by a dealer. The Gun Show Loophole is a lie created and repeated by democrats. Repeating a a lie over and over does not make it become true. It is still a lie.

Jack L
Jack L

Max, you say "all guns sold at gun shows are by dealers?" You must not have been to many gun shows then. Many individuals sell guns at gun shows. Dealers can sell their guns at their stores

Jack L
Jack L

We can`t do anything about illegal gun sales, but that`s no reason to make it easier for criminals to buy guns

Max DeYoung
Max DeYoung

And you can buy one illegally in any democrat controlled city, without an ID.. Chicago, Baltimore, St. Louis, Detroit, etc...

Creating more laws to hinder good people, will have no affect on criminals, while existing laws are not enforced. Even morons realize criminals don't obey laws. Too bad democrats and RINO's, are not smart enough to understand this. Blunt will be replaced with a real man, and it won't be John Wood.

Shall Not Be Infringed. Supreme Court just ruled: only justification needed is the right to defend ourselves. The Marxists and communists in other countries disarmed their population and tyranny rules. USA was based on not being controlled by Kings/govt. bad guys rule too. And can always get guns.

And in addition to that, Roe vs Wade has been overturned. Murder, I mean abortion, is no longer Federally protected.

When the House and Senate are all done adjusting the Constitution, The SCOTUS will gut this phony Socialist Bill.

What kind of role model is this pubic official for our young people? Do we want them think it's alright to shoot people who disagree? It's time for conversation truly listening to all sides and practicing respecting everyone. The future of our country needs all citizens to respect each other.
