Bottom line is, it doesn't matter who the backup is this season. If Derek Carr gets hurt badly enough to where he misses significant playing time, the Raiders are doomed.

It's apparent that the Raiders have more depth now than they have had at any point during the Reggie McKenzie Era. This is rather refreshing and encouraging.
