Streaming giants Amazon and Neflix have deep pockets, and their stocks continue to rise as Netflix gets more subscribers and Amazon invests more money in its movies and shows. Hulu, YouTube and Vudu are entering the production market. A-list actors and actresses keep signing up for shows and movies made exclusively for streaming studios, while Netflix and Amazon have won plenty of awards over the past two years. Streaming is here to stay, and it takes away from the old way of doing things in Hollywood. Streaming studios raise the bar without worrying about ratings for kids, teens or adults. Show Less

Traditional TV shows and watching movies in theaters are here to stay. Box office takes increase every year, and mega-studios such as Viacom, Fox, Disney and Warner Brothers up the ante with summer releases, superhero fare and trusted franchises with rabid fan bases. Unless Amazon or Netflix pony up the dough to buy a big-name movie studio, there should be a happy medium for all types of shows and movies. Show Less
