Really just wanted to comment... zero interest in a Venom movie set in a universe with no connection to Spider-Man. Didn't see the first one, won't see the second.

Loved the trailer, it looks like Sony knows why that movie made over $800 million, we love Eddie and the Symbiote, they are a legitimately great pairing and I'm hyped to see more of them.

I like the tone of the first movie. I really enjoyed the dualism of venom. I hope they are able to continue that without getting too goofy.

The tone and character interaction between Eddie and the Venom is the thing that worked in the first movie, a good sequel should keep the best parts of the original and it looks like that's what is going to happen here.

while I'm convinced there's something off w/ venoms voice, I think the tone will balance out w/ carnage in the picture. Regardless were talking a very 90's event were adapting here w/ very out there characters. I think carnage will raise the stakes and allow venom to grow a little.

I love his struggles more, he has a personal struggle when it comes filling Cap's shoes and an external struggle when it comes to taking the colors of a nation who was anything but kind to people who look like him, fantastic character work + a brilliant performance too.

Much as I loved seeing bucky adjust to civilian life as man outta time w/ a chip on his shoulder, Sam Wilson's story is very compelling. Particularly w/ the Isiah Bradley element of the story and having classic marvel troubles to overcome.

Sam's plight feels more visceral. I'm not a black man but I'm friends with one, one day we were walking down the street and arguing about something stupid regarding a TV show, and cops pull out and they were a lot more hostile towards him than me even thought we both were making noise.

I love Sam. I love that he always tries to deescalate a tense situation, I love that he is full of empathy, even for people others write off as terrorists, I love that he is not a glory hog, he sees the shield as a colossal responsibility and not a way to get acclamation and fame.

I love that he is not bitter, he is not filled with resentment over how he has been treated. I love that he is an optimist, always striving to do better and pushing other people to do the same.

I love that he doesn't give up on people, he attempts to save Isaiah from his bitterness (which is justified but it is poisonous to his soul). He also attempts to save Karli from her anger and resentment, sadly he fails with her but he never gave up. I love Sam, he is the best MCU character.

Nothing against Bucky, but Sam's struggles were more real and relatable.

Bucky didn't have a character in the movies, but I won't watch this show because Disney is evil, racist, communist, etc.

I feel like you have to say Sam since he had more of an arc whereas Bucky kind of got shafted again. They’ve gotten closer with Bucky, but they aren’t quite there yet on having a take on him.

I think that the show does a great job with both of them but I like Bucky more. He feels very protective of Steve's legacy and needs Steve to be right about Sam because he want's Steve to be right about everything, including him and his own redemption .

The race relations exploration with Sam and Isaiah is fantastic, but I like Bucky's escape from the past more. He starts the show unable to fully confront his past, his attempts being misguided and half-hearted but in the end he is able to break free, to rip off the band-aid & leave the past behind.

Bucky is just overall more compelling as he’s like Steve in that he’s a man out of time but with even more baggage. Plus I feel the more we learn about Bucky we indirectly learn more about Steve as they were basically brothers to each other.

Bucky’s character development is a long time in the making. It was great to get a deeper look into his mind and see him overcome his internal battles. I’m excited to see what’s next for the evolution of his character.

I don’t necessarily want to see another season of the show in the exact same format, but I love the dynamic between Bucky & Sam. I think I’d like to see a similar mini-series with both characters involved that evolves alongside the overarching MCU storyline with the potential for some crossover.
