I agree with you, but we need to keep fighting to make it a two sided issue. Diversity is just that Divisive. With the scores from CPS they need to focus on the 3 Rs and not outside stuff.
The GOP is creating these fake "problems" to appeal to the ignorant and divide us. Instead, they should focus on real issues that affect all of us, like access to healthcare, support for educators, and the epidemic of gun violence.

So we immediately have the gender issue side here describing all who disagree with them as ignorant and blaming the GOP for daring to focus on an issue that is of concern to parents. Say they, it's not lawmakers or parents who know better. They are our kids now. We need them for party control.
Focus on economy, free lunch for school, climate, selling farmlands to foreign countries, and many more. Let people live the lives they choose! No matter what gender they may be. Show me State means be a leader in the nation not a follower of a few citizens beliefs This is a FREE COUNTRY.

This is not a gender issue. It is a larger cultural war being forced on middle America with Republicans being their only defense. One only has to look to the Peoples Republic of Columbia School Board to understand the real consequences. The real question should be why is this even an issue.

We need to continue the battle to have our voices heard. The libs are relentless and do not let up, if we are not vocal they work to negate our rights to our beliefs, just as CPS is doing to concerned parents and taxpayers over the drag show. They have a right to their concerns just as they libs.

I think it's about time they talk about it and decide to keep it out of our school curriculum! To many schools these days are praising LBGQ and it needs to stop kids are to young and they need guidance from their parents not school officials! I do believe something has to be done !!!

it's the right thing to do. Let kids decide their preference when they are old enough. NOT through the children's book section of a public library! Basically force feeding sex preference on children.

Sexual preference isn't "decided." It simply is. Think about it, and try to see if you can change yours.
I don't know why they should be randomly placed, all other categories are separated, like fiction. Mystery, humor, travel, etc. They should especially be away from children's books.

The central issue concerns the exposure of minor children to explicit sexual material. One of these disputed books graphically illustrates oral sex involving minors. That is the very definition of child pornography. Movies have age restrictions, explicit books should have similar age designations.

I don’t believe LGBTQ sexually explicit or any sexually explicit information should be given to young children any more than cigarettes. Wait till they are old enough to vote and let them make up their minds as to what they want to read

This should not be taught to children of any age until they are old enough and mature. As in have gone through puberty and know right from wrong etc.

It makes no difference to me what a persons sexual preference is until, it is made an issue of and belief that the LGTBTQ community should have special privileges. Books should be on shelves but NOT have a special section and especially NOT for children.

Libraries are for the general public and follow the Dewey decimal system. Very few of any specific topic gets its own section. AND libraries are the originators of First Amendment rights. I'm sorry there are so many parents in Crook County who are scared of homosexuality.

ReplyMissouri is at THE BOTTOM for education spending, for our horrifying gun violence, and in so many other urgent areas our lawmakers should be addressing. Meanwhile this vulnerable and vastly small minority of Missourians deserves better than to be the focus of so much bigoted legislation.
