The B1G is tough from top to bottom. These teams are just beating each other up. I think about 10 teams from the B1G this year could beat anyone on any given night.

I thinks it's a down year as a whole. When a very young iowa team can knock off the likes of Purdue and be competitive in most games says a lot. Of course I hope it really says something about the great looking group of kids we have.

Most Iowa recruiting classes are a "see you in 3 years" sort of thing while the players get into the system and develop. I trust the coaches at this point, they've earned that.

They earned that how? With 1 top 25 team this decade?

I believe the staff recovered very nicely at the end with Bryan, Wieland, Creamer and Smith-Marsette. Nice top end talent with Wirfs and Epenesa. Excited to see them all in a few years.

after all the turmoil and negativity from the summer, they finished strong and have many performers that I think will turn out very well for them

It is easy to look back at where we were in the summer when we had the Texas pipeline in affect. But I think we filled the holes left by those decommits very well. I think Bryan fills in nicely for Benjamin. ISM is probably a step-up from Holmes. So all in all I am pretty happy where we are.

I like to be cautiously optimistic on any recruiting class!!! I think there are a couple players ho may be able to impact right away AJ is one!! But do we redshirt his talent?? good question?? If we need a DE then we need him!! But if we have DE this year that can make plays we may want to RS him?

I think we met some big needs and I like the quality of character of these young men as well.

We are who we are in recruiting...and we are a development program (few do it better). I see multiple impact players in this class with higher upsides than I've seen in the past.

With what was on the table this could have been a top 25 class. Iowa now has the facilities fan base and track record to land the recruits it takes to win the Big 10. With an out of date recruiting policy and lack of ability to land the in state talent we will always be competing for 3rd - 5th

We didn't address the need of WR. We really needed a guy who could come in and start his first year and stretch the field.
