The library is one of few places left that is a quiet place to escape the noise of everyday life. Just walking in through the doors takes me back to my childhood. I feel like I am at home.

During the pandemic I've used the digital formats, Hoopla and Libby, more than face to face check-outs.

However, Peachtree City Library usually has what I am looking for as they are part of the statewide Pines system.

I am in the older age group that is most at risk for negative effects from the virus. I will continue to mask up in closed spaces where I am in close proximity to others. This will also protect me from other air-bourn diseases.

I have no reason to wear a mask when the probability of getting sick now is so low. Here's some news: masks don't seem to help that much since most people don't know how to wear one.

Masks may help, but mask requirements do not appear to do anything given that our numbers have never been better than municipalities without forced mask wearing. And, since we will all need to wear mask again when the next variant or spike comes along, we should take welcome breaks when we can
