I have NO respect for the "technical" people that come from college engineering schools. They are nothing but a bunch of overeducated techno-computer nerds who think they are better than the rest of us.

The only reason your Master's Degree serves you well is because society only "counts" formal education. Case in point with yes #1. I understand the need to ascertain that person can perform the duties of his or her chosen profession, but another demonstration could as easily suffice.

You can parse this argument forever on what 'college' means vs trade school etc. But rather than be caught up with semantics,-- higher education, whatever and however you define or categorize it, is always the investment with the highest ROR.
ReplyIt depends on the degree but you are more likely to get a good job if you have one.
ReplyThe country will always need educated people: writers, scientists, mathematicians, musicians that no vocational school can educate.
ReplyIt provides professional training that will last a lifetime. I completed my Bachelor's degree and Master's Degree and has served me well throughout my life in employed and personal growth.
