The adage goes, "Guns don't kill people, people kill people." It's the people who are the problem, not guns. Americans have the right to bear arms, a tradition that goes back to the American Revolution. Americans have the right to defend themselves, their property and their families from tyranny and oppressors. Instead of passing new gun control laws, make the current laws more efficient or increase security measures at schools and public buildings. Attorney General Jeff Sessions has it right: prosecute more criminals who are breaking gun laws rather than pass new laws.
