I voted for this side due to the fact that way too many individuals are allowed to purchase/possess firearms when they have no legal right; nor ability; to do so.

Schumer blocks Senate GOP school safety bill. Democrats don't want laws that work, they want death and mayhem.

People who have no legal right to possess firearms can not pass a background check. ATF Form 4473 - Firearms Transaction Record Revisions. Please educate yourself.

That should have been done after the Sandy Hook tragedy. Also, limit the age when a person can buy a gun. No sales of assault weapons to anyone under 25 and then with a thorough background check. Stop the killing of innocent children.

Assault weapons are already banned. These automatic weapons are for military use only.. Democrats want to ban semi-automatic weapons, but like to call them assault weapons because it sounds more deadly. In truth, they consider any weapon that will have an automatic reload to be an assault weapon.

I had already served six years in the U S Navy when I turned 25. Your reasoning is less than that of a child.

Max DeYoung

There is no such thing as an assault weapon. Assault is a physical attack, performed by a person or an animal. A weapon used, is only a tool being used in the physical attack. That could even be a pillow used to smother someone. Do you have assault pillows in your home? Please educate yourself.

Funny how quick they are to protect the lives of embryos because "life matters" yet 10 year olds get slaughtered by an 18 year old that can buy guns and it's political. Disgusting yet predictable hypocrisy among conservatives

We are living in a world where Governors are signing bills requiring students to use bathrooms aligned with their biological sex at birth, to protect themselves from the sins of the Left.

Does anybody actually think this would stop the nightly shootings, by felons in Columbia using stolen forearms? No, I don't think so either. People who legally purchase firearms, are not the people committing crimes with firearms. Why not start holding the criminals responsible?

Hunter Biden purchased a firearm via background check, before promptly tossing in a dumpster near a public school. So....

This is nothing more than a political grandstand in an effort to win votes. The bill will do little to stem violence and is only for politicians to use at election time. The Democrats are taking a tragedy and using it to get their agenda passed without any proof the bill would make a difference.

Yes, the Dems are acting true to form, untrustworthy and immoral. The only change they make, is for the worse.

Since when are the answers to the question of the day not"yes" or "no"? Those are the options. And is is exactly that simple. The answers here are an attempt to skew the results. Pathetic.

Why isn't it set up like the WIC program, where there are only specific approved food items. that can be purchased? It's not rocket science. I know it, you know it, and so does RFK Jr.

Only healthy nutritious food should be able to buy with food stamps. Junk food should be abandoned. If junk food is bought with EBTstamps, it should be taxed. Chip, soda, and candy should be taxed. These foods are not nutrition and unhealthy

People are letting their kids grow up on junk. It's not healthy. Another of working people can't afford to buy their kids junk food. I got food stamps in the 70s. We couldn't buy junk food or soda. No prepared foods. No chicken legs or thighs because they cost more. I bought whole chickens an

Healthy foods are high price and if they want us to buy more healthy foods, then either need to lower the price for healthy foods or raise the price on food stamps
