Not only do the trailers look awesome, but Black Panther is a rich, deep character who takes great pride in his wisdom, ancestral power and protecting his African kingdom. The timing of the movie is ideal, one year after a divisive American election and during Black History Month in February. The cast is perfect and the characters are straight out of the classic comic books.

Black Panther is just another superhero movie in a glut of superhero movies. Marvel has too many of these out already, one every season it seems, and it's just too much. Everything about the movie is just hype so far, and Americans don't want to spend their hard-earned money on a non-summer superhero release. Kids are still in school and flu season is in full swing, so people don't have time to go see it.
