Perfect candidate to run against a republican. He would need to resign from his senate seat, spend millions of dollars of dem. money, drop out before primary and disappear from Oregon history.

I'm a Democrat and believe Merkley is a good man, but I've met him and seen him speak in person. He literally sucks the energy out of a room and doesn't possess the persona to get us back into the WH

"Voted red all the way". Well, communism is red, however, so is a closed mind.

Why? He is not nationally known, like a Rubio or a Kasich. It would guarantee another term for the idiot who now occupies the Office,

I don't even know how he keeps getting elected to the office he has. He is worthless.

He is the most divisive Senator we have. He is a propaganda driven, progressive left politician that has no care for the real people he represents. Can't stand him. Sorry.

While I like Merkley, he does not have the personality to run.

He's ignorant of what the voters need in Oregon. So, no, he should not run. He does not have the expertise to even be a senator.

System Development Charges (SDC) are obviously way too low to offset the impacts of growth. Otherwise, we would not need continuous bonds for roads, schools, library, etc. to keep up with this growth.

The roads are falling apart money would be better spent on repairs than roundabouts with expensive artwork

it is always hard to anticipate future growth. However, Bend has a pro growth policy and Visit Bend which actively tries to get everyone to move here. It should come as no surprise that transportation lags far behind the aggressive marketing of this town.
