Property owners are choosing to be a part of a community, and that means sharing space peacefully with neighbors. If the community at large deems an image, flag, or message offensive or even hateful, the matter then turns into a debate over public safety.

So if I make a flag that offends others it's should be protected by the constitution? I don't think so! Old flags were meant for their time, not ours!

The Constitution protects free speech; there is no provision on a right to not be offended.
If you want to deface the American flag then please move to another country so we don't waste our Social Security benefits on you later.
ReplyMy flag is part of my country. I find it unoffensive and frankly if your offended by my flag, leave
ReplyWhether we like it or not, a right is a right. I don't agree with flying certain flags, but it's their right.
ReplyOfcourse.
ReplyIt's my property, I should be able to do what I want on it as long as I dont harm others. Hurt feelings do not count.
ReplyFreedom and Liberty
ReplyWe are losing our right to free speech. We need to prevent “normalizing” the desecration of our constitutional rights. This is what is bringing down America today
ReplyI may not like the flag (house color, screaming kids, drinking beer on their front porch, etc.), but it is their property. As long as they are not harming another, it is none of my business.
