The way my house was built, the plumbing runs along the forced air heating ducts under the house so they have never froze even when we had that -36 temp in 1987.

We only have one plumbing line on an exterior wall (kitchen sink) - all others are located in interior walls. Outside faucets are designed for cold weather and all hoses are disconnected.

(5) Why does north bound 20 exit to the right? This required a new overpass to be built over the new highway, only to dump you immediately into another righthand exit, using the other recently built overpass/cloverleaf interchange. Is Bend not aware of exiting on the left?
