I almost did one time though for cashiers at Fred Meyer in the 90s. My department voted it down thank God because no one could afford the union dues. They were crazy expensive.

Becoming a union member saved my life and changed the direction of my life, being a single mom of two with no child support. I vigorously approve of unions.
ReplyI was a member and a Steward that is why I am on my own now Unions are not what everyone thinks they are they make for lazy people and substandard Products that is my experience great for benefits though
ReplyMy brief stint as a first line manager convinced me that workers need unions. I saw how upper management, in that setting, really wanted to treat workers.
ReplyI worked for a union and later belonged to a union. The downfall of America's middle class correlates directly with the downfall of unions, beginning at least 30 years ago.
