I think rallies do promote change. We have to speak out and voice our opinions so they're heard.

I don't think rallies invoke any type of change. Nothing really happens and usually violence erupts.

I think rallies are good at getting a group of like minded people energized and perhaps on a small scale win over a few that may attend with an open mind. Change comes from small groups or one on one
