I'm vaccinated...the CDC and Pres Biden lifted mask mandate for vaccinated ppl 2 months ago...and the Gov in Salem said she would follow CDC guidance then went back on her word. IF YOU ARE VACCINATED YOU DO NOT NEED A Fing MASK!

It's time to move beyond fear and resume living. Those whom desired to be vaccinated are, and those who declined are often the ones who would have taken masks off long ago. It's time to breathe fresh air, hug our loved ones, and experience genuine smiles and facial expressions once again.

M'eh. Whatever, I haven't been wearing one for a few weeks now. Wear them or not, I don't care.

My sister was forced to wear one at work. She now has high blood pressure and breathing issues. NO she did NOT gain weight. This was confirmed by her Doctor to be due to having to wear a mask for upwards of 16 hours a day. I dont know if the damage can be undone but here is hoping she can recover.

Unless you have a cough or sneezing the masks are useless. A study by a CA university said they were useless and could even cause premature death.

They should have been gone along time ago, Texas ended the mask mandate and they haven't had a single infection

I am still masking and social distancing, because the virus that causes Covid-19 "needs to be gone." The new more transmissible and more deadly Delta variant will soon be the predominant virus; masking sends a signal that there are many of us still susceptible to getting sick,

I am afraid for our children in Deschutes County. They can't get the vaccine yet. I pray the new variant strain doesn't hit us. If so, we're going to see many more deaths.

This is a much need addition for public safety. Widening or extra lane work would cost hundreds of time more.

Absolutely - due to traffic volume, a major safety concern and issue for all drivers‼️

Our son Micah Borden died right there Sept 29, 20222 i hate that part of the HWY. I also am not happy that you all didn't care when my 23 year old son died there but you all care so much now. It hurts badly.

Our son Micah Borden died there in that same spot September 29,2022. Something needs to be done with that road. He was 23 and died on that road

Unfortunately I know too many people that have lost their lives on this death trap they call a highway. I am scared to death to drive hwy 97 with my family in my vehicle let alone myself driving to work.PLEASE do something before someone else's loved one is lost. Need dividers south end to the north

Absolutely, as traffic volume has increased dramatically! Also due to a need for more safety barriers or a different alignment or separation may be required from Madras to Redmoond. Too many unprotected left turn roads leads to unsafe following or stops❗️

How many more people need to die, before ODOT and the power 's at be on the west side if Oregon pay attention to the safety issues on the central Oregon stretch of Hwy 97! Shame on you!!! Highway 97 is a death trap and ODOT KNOWS IT!!!!

All of Oregon's are highways dangerous.. most passes are two lanes and obviously we have snow..and distracted drivers, which makes head on collisions more likely. I have no idea why there aren't at least road dividers to prevent head on's. Too many deaths...

It's like a bottleneck of traffic thru there. Every time I drive thru, the traffic is really heavy. But trying to cross the highway going west or east is impossible. I usually turn the way of traffic then Take next exit to turn around and go the way I need.
