Maybe ppl will get tired of having to move enough that they will opt for a temporary shelter in a building or 1 of those single-bed homes like they are building in Portland. Saw on the news last night. tiny house with room for sgl bed and the "village" has community bathrooms and is managed onsite.
Wouldn't need to sweep the camps if the city/county had designated MANAGED camping locations. Many people will just never want to stay in a shelter -- can't say I blame them either.
YES Pleeze! My daughter has one in her office building in downtown Denver in a sketchy area and it's been like an invaluable watchdog. If you've lived downtown, you'd know that robberies and vandalism happen around 3 a.m. We HAD a security company but we NEED 'round the clock presence.
Shocking that Toby has yet to be fired. The walk up kiosks that are now disabled-how much $ was wasted on this short-lived idea? The signage is still no where near succinct. Every misstep of the way, it has been overly complicated, poorly executed, & expensive. The robot is another example.
Why not video cameras and Human Beings. Sounds like a huge waste of money. The robot is nothing more than high tech virtue signaling that will accomplish nothing.
Yes! And the minute they come back stop them in there tracks and not let them set up again. This will eliminate future sweeps.
ReplyNO WILD CAMPING on public streets that’s what campgrounds are for!! NOBODY is above the law,
ReplyThey shouldn't be there in the first place. Camps should only be allowed outside of city limits. Sweep away!
