The 97 project will be a huge improvement when finished. However the new roundabout project in Sisters is terrible! Instead of having two lanes coming into Sisters with the right only turn lane, we now have everyone merging into one lane before the roundabout. The traffic flow is 10 times worse!

Your question is a leading question? Most folks don'te embrace change easily. In the long-term it will help the North side be safe and navigable for the next several years; especially as Costco & Fred Meyer join the mix. Everyone knows congestion and traffic in Bend is exploding - suck it up.

It might help with traffic but there is no signage

I work at Lowe’s part time and I straight up got lost the first time. I’ve been so used to just going straight down 97 and before I knew it I was on my way to Redmond. To not be late for work I had to pull a u-turn and I’ve seen lots of people doing the same which is unsafe. There is no signage

They MOST DEFINITELY should have taken into account that many drivers want to get to the shopping center, and they cannot. Going 3 miles into Redmond is NOT the answer! I totally understand cars making dangerous turnarounds to get around this failure to account for an exit at the shopping center!!

Whoever designs these highway changes needs to go back to school. The bypass in Redmond was stupid too. And I really dislike the round abouts everywhere, especially the area coming from Sisters to Bend. I do like the artwork, but you only get a few seconds to enjoy it or have an accident.

bend already has a costco. the number of businesses that became instantly inaccessible by adding 6 miles of additional, unnecessary drive time is both disturbing and concerning. not to mention the amount of u-turning happening on a busy highway as a result.

Wouldn't mind, it's quite quite a drive. Of course it would be hot.

We should all be in favor of anything that creates a safer community for all of us, regardless of political affiliation. Since our federal funds have been decreased, we need another form of revenue to supplement our fire fighting revenue.

These things have been voted on and approved by voters in the past already. This is just another example of hands out for $$ from property owners. I am against ANY new taxes on property owners. We are tapped out!! Tax alcohol, cigarettes, whatever else to make EVERYONE share in the pain.
