It's thick and creamy enough to satisfy my hunger but also can be a great side with any other meats for the holidays.

I never had it until my DIL entered the family. It's calorie laden but a great once a year treat! I love dressing too.

Green bean casserole is one of my favorite holiday dishes, but unfortunately, my husband, step-son and father-in-law don’t care for it. Since my mother-in-law and I are outnumbered, the last 2 Thanksgivings (and Christmases) have included plain old boiled green beans. :(

In approximately 1965, Aunt brought this casserole to the holiday table. Someone has made it ever since. If because of great happy memories more than anything else.
